Complete Potato Chip Processing Solution
01
Project Overview and Core Engineering Challenges
In modern snack food processing, the conveying of potato products (especially ultra-thin sliced potato chips) is far more than a simple "physical displacement." It is a complex systems engineering project spanning raw potato washing, high-temperature frying, fine seasoning, weighing and packaging, to final boxing and storage. In this process, the conveying system is not only the link connecting various processing stages but also a key hub determining the overall yield rate of the production line.
Conveyed Materials: Covering raw potatoes with mud, wet starch potato slices, freshly fried ultra-crisp thin-sliced potato chips coated with seasoning powder, and packaged bagged and boxed finished products.
Application Nodes: Covering the entire production line's intelligent conveying from raw potato receiving, washing and peeling, slicing, blanching, frying, seasoning, multi-head weighing packaging, and boxing and palletizing.
Harsh Operating Conditions: The initial stage must handle mud and sand and high-pressure water washing; the middle stage must overcome high temperatures and extreme fragility; the final stage must prevent heavy oil and salt adhesion and cross-contamination from multiple flavors; the entire line must meet food-grade hygiene and safety standards.

【Operating Challenges】 During the washing process, raw potatoes are exposed to large amounts of mud, gravel, and water. Traditional belt conveyors are prone to slipping, water accumulation, and wear, leaving dirt residue in the gaps. This necessitates that the conveyor equipment possess extremely high wear resistance, while also considering drainage and ease of cleaning.
【Visou Core Technologies and Solutions】 The potato processing line must meet food hygiene standards. We have completely abandoned traditional belt conveyors (traditional belt conveyors' gaps, rollers, and idlers easily trap dirt and grime, and thorough cleaning is extremely time-consuming), adopting a high-strength open-frame plastic/stainless steel modular mesh belt. The large frame design enables automatic drainage and sand removal, and supports 360° high-pressure water jet cleaning, completely eliminating unsanitary areas.

Mid-Range Process: Uniform Spreading Across the Entire Cross-Section and Extremely Flexible Sliding

【Pain Points】 After potato chips are deep-fried at high temperatures, their moisture content drops drastically, making them extremely crispy. If a traditional vibrating throwing conveyor is used at this point, the material will break apart significantly due to the violent bouncing. Furthermore, if the material piles up or has gaps on the conveyor belt when entering the blanching, drying, or freezing machine, it will lead to extremely uneven heating/cooling, severely affecting the color, taste, and consistency of the finished potato chips.
